All of the pictures on this website, unless otherwise noted, were taken on the Kodiak road system. Favorite sunrise spots include Spruce Cape and Fort Abercrombie. My trips to Pasagshak and Narrow Cape are always fun and my family has a game where we see how many types of wildlife we can locate and count. Some great picnic locations are in Kalsin Bay and you can take an entire day to explore the backcountry at the "end of the road" in Chiniak. The trip to Anton Larsen is also a neat experience and I've learned that many times if Kodiak is foggy, a short trip over the pass will bring you into sunshine and blue skies. The mountains of Monashka are always beautiful, whether covered in snow or shining with the green of summer. No matter which direction you head, you'll find wonder and beauty.
